Boxing is booming, right? So where have all the championship fights gone? No male world champion has had more than two world title fights this year. The pound-for-pound list is littered with single figure outings, whilst the women's game isn't much busier. In a time when stadium fights and unifications are regular, why has nobody taken 2026 by storm? Can you name a Boxer of the Year this year?

Ben Whittaker retained his unbeaten record in the pro ranks, but all talk of a world title fight coming next should be shelved as, once again, he muddled his way across the finish line. The Olympic silver medallist dominated Irishman Conor Wallace for nine rounds of their title eliminator, only to run out of gas and was left hanging on in the closing stages. The boys review the main event and the rest of the Birmingham card, which delivered from top to bottom.

Ben Whittaker is starting to look like the real deal inside the ropes, living up to the huge potential he had after medalling at the Olympic Games. But, who has he actually beaten? 'The Surgeon' is ranked incredibly highly by every one of the tin pot organisations, despite the fact he's never beaten anybody ranked in the top 100 at light-heavy. This weekend he gets the chance to put that straight against Irishman based Down Under Conor Wallace. Litmus test time.

What a weekend; fights all over the place, more drama than an episode of your favourite soap, and plenty of blood and violence. But where was your attention? Is the sweet science under threat like never before to evolve to suit the modern audience?

On today's show, the Fight Disciples preview a European title fight card in Birmingham, Zuffa's latest foray to the UK and, after having our attention captured, we even talk Bare Knuckle Boxing. We know what the most competitive fight is. We know where the big promotional push is going to be. But how will you consumer two strong boxing cards and a night of untold chaos in Manchester going off at the same time?

Pat Brown captured British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles in just his 7th pro fight and in front of a busy home arena on Saturday, suggesting he could well be British boxing's next big star. Meanwhile, world champion Hamzah Sheeraz threw his world title in the bin, but was because he was being matched with a drug cheat or due to the winning purse bid representing a pay cut in his career?

Zuffa Boxing's flagship show of 2026 ended in disaster for their high-profile British signing, but likely leveraged great hope in courting an American home audience. Ryan Garcia needed less than two rounds to expose Conor Benn's lack of championship credentials at the T-Mobile, much to the delight of the largely Mexican fanbase. Zuffa had more luck in the co-main where Jai Opetaia demolished fellow world champion Norair Mikaeljan before calling out David Benavidez next.

Live from Las Vegas, Nevada, Adam finally gets some wifi capable of previewing Zuffa's flagship card of their debut year as Ryan Garcia defends his world title against Conor Benn at the T-Mobile Arena. Technically there is likely a gulf in class between the two men. But What Conor lacks in pedigree and ability, he makes up for in heart and determination. On paper, there is only one winner, but in real life anything could happen. Here are the boys final thoughts.

Katie Taylor called time on her stellar career on Saturday night in the most ideal place possible: Dublin's Croke Park. It was emotional, sensational and sentimental all at once. Eddie was crying, the family were crying, Katie choked back the tears; it was beautiful.

Bring the tissues on Saturday as we say farewell to a sporting icon. In front of 80,000 fans at Croke Park in Dublin, Katie Taylor signs off on a career that changed boxing forever. The greatest female boxer in history fights one final time. We preview a night that's almost guaranteed to be followed by the hangover of all hangovers!

This is what contesting the heavyweight championship of the world should look like. Incredible scenes in London as Filip Hrgovic becomes the first Croatian heavyweight world champion, coming from behind to force a ninth round stoppage of Moses Itauma. Drama, excitement, guts and glory. Brilliant.

The boys are back together in time to preview the start of a huge six months in the ring. Moses Itauma aims to become Britain's youngest ever world heavyweight champion at the O2 on Saturday night, but Filip Hrgovic poses by far his toughest test to date. We also look forward to the MVP card in the Midlands, featuring Chantelle Cameron's world title unification against Mikaela Mayer.

Teofimo Lopez outpointed Rolly Romero to become a three-weight world champion in Las Vegas just a few hours after George Liddard had cruised to European middleweight glory in London. But with the world title fight behind a PPV paywall, and DAZN generating very little in the way of media coverage, how many people actually watched either fight?

Fight Disciples' Nick Peet hosted a LIVE episode of Fight Club featuring four Patreon members to debate some of the biggest stories in boxing, and there was obviously only one place to start. Here is an extended clip from the show revolving around the circus that is the Tyson Fury – Anthony Joshua heavyweight matchup that's finally closing in, albeit on a November date in New York City. Zuffa Boxing lands in Dublin, Ireland this weekend as Aaron McKenna tops a card at home for the first time challenging for the world middleweight title. Ably support by brother Stephen and stablemate Callum Walsh, the 3Arena once again promises to be bouncing come Saturday night. Meanwhile, it's Groundhog Day over in Leeds, as Troy Williamson is forced to run back the standout performance of his career rematching Callum Simpson – this time for none of the marbles – but, hopefully, a substantial pay day!

Boxing heads to Dublin, Ireland for the first of three blockbuster events in the coming weeks, starting with the brilliant super-lightweight title tussle between Pierce O'Leary and Mark Chamberlain. With a suitably-stacked Irish ensemble undercard attached, the night promises to deliver plenty of fireworks, but nowhere more so than in the main event. Both have genuine world title ambitions, but only one can move closer to one of the premier names in the 140lb division.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua both returned to the ring over the weekend to blow off the cobwebs and hope to ignite interest from fight fans in their long overdue heavyweight match-up later in the year. Instead, Fury looked cumbersome at best on Friday night and AJ was dropped repeatedly in the opening rounds before finally cashing a lottery ticket to save his blushes in Saudi Arabia. Is their fight, five years too late already, actually past its sell by date?

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua both return to the boxing ring this weekend, albeit on two separate continents and 24 hours apart. The two British heavyweights feature in warm-up bouts on consecutive nights before, maybe, agreeing to face one another at last later in the year. You know what they say about best laid plans? Are there any real warm-up fights in heavyweight boxing? In this case, probably yeah!
