UFC commentator, John Gooden spent the day with rising UFC star, Arnold ‘Almighty’ Allen. This is an intimate look into the life of one of the UK’s brightest mixed martial arts stars.
In the film, Arnold shows us around his town of Felixstowe on the east coast of England. We also get a tour of the Allen family home, his infamous self-built strongman gym and we join ‘Triple A’ for some Muay Thai training.
Arnold, who now trains out of the world-famous Tristar gym in Canada, recounts his arduous journey of getting to the UFC which sometimes saw him sleeping rough between training sessions. He shares stories from his childhood days where he watched his father compete in pro MMA, which eventually led him to pull on the 4 ounce gloves. This is a fascinating insight into how a young man from a shipping port resisted following in the footsteps of many others into the shipping industry and dedicated himself to pursuing his dream of becoming a professional fighter with the world’s biggest fight organisation.
